DTP Automatisation
This task used to be very time consuming as we needed to copy/paste the contents into a Word file, have it translated by the linguists, then copy/paste the translations into the original file.
Today, the extensive use of CAT tools simplifies the task as the tool automatically extracts the content of most files (InDesign, etc.) and flows it in its native file after translation. The DTP consists in 1/ resizing the box, 2/ manually entering the captions, and 3/ making sure the translations are correct while read in context.

Linguistic DTP
The most common failure is to use a “monolingual” American team to handle multilingual projects as most languages expand and due to space constraints, titles and/or segments need to be rephrased.
As a shortcut, some translation bureaus proceed and deliver the files as they are. Others organize back-and-forth communication between the DTP team and the linguists. These extra steps are efficient in terms of quality but extremely time consuming and expensive. Our team is multilingual and makes sure the hyphenation, style, space, and graphics are adapted to its audience. A final QA is made by the head linguists just before delivery to catch any potential mistake remaining.

Time and Money Savings
With our team being multilingual, our DTP is linguistically correct with only one QA by the head linguist at the end of the process. You’ll remain in your budget with a high quality translation project.
